What is the role of medium-sized cities in regional development, and how do they structure the urban networks that organize the flows of people, capital, and information in Rio Grande do Sul?
Methodology: Centrality and territorial management analysis of medium-sized cities such as Santa Maria, Santa Cruz do Sul, and Lajeado (RS, Brazil). The influence of these hubs on the organization of regional networks was investigated utilizing secondary data, field research, and interviews.
Results: The research deepened the understanding of regional dynamics, providing input for the planning of public policies focused on development and territorial integration.
